During week 3 we were hopping over here at On Target! We had Worse Case Scenario (this camp has it's own blog post!) and Basic Marksmanship in the morning and Man Vs. Wild Jr. and Advanced Compound in the afternoon. It was a successful week as we introduced a brand new camp and had some of our classic camps that the kids continue enjoying summer after summer.
Man Vs. Wild Jr was very exciting this week! They built fires, fished with home-made fishing poles, and made some awesome shelters in the woods! Nate told me that his favorite part of the camp was the intense game of capture the flag, and of course, four square!
Basic Marksmanship went up with a bang! Each of the campers improved their shooting skills each day and I enjoyed the end of the day when each of them ran up to the sign out table, so excited to show everyone their target from that day! Clayton enjoys this camp very much and says that he will miss it very much when he moves to Colorado. (We will miss him too!!)
Advanced Compound was right on the mark this week. Kasey told me that she really enjoyed teaching the campers but also learning new skills alongside them.
Week 4 was a bit rugged; we had Man vs Wild and Girl vs Wild. Each camp learned how to start fires, fish with no equipment, build shelters, and many more important outdoor skills. Each camp also got a sleepover at the end of the week! Staff and campers always enjoy these camps, and especially the sleepovers on the last day.
Man vs Wild had a great Wednesday night sleep over that I keep hearing about even one week later! Our staff enjoyed telling the campers spooky stories around the campfire and having a four square tournament that night. Because of the rain, the campers had a sleep-in. I heard that there wasn't much sleeping for the boys though!!
Girl vs Wild also had a really fun sleepover on Thursday night. We got to sleep out in the woods and the girls were excited to sleep in the shelters that they created. I was excited that I got to sleep in a tent!! We had a great group of girls for our sleepover!
We would love to have your kids in our upcoming camps. We still have room in many of our camps so check out our website for more information and to get registered.
Thank you for reading and for your continued support!! We hope to see you soon! God bless!!
