Did you know studies show that kids who play outside are smarter, happier, more attentive and less anxious than kids who spend more time indoors? Time in nature builds confidence, promotes imagination and teaches responsibility. Playing outdoors gets kids moving, provides greater sensory stimulation, and it reduces stress and fatigue.
Regarding faith development, time in creation helps students know and appreciate their Creator more as well. Spending time in nature is a great way for kids to learn about God. They can see His creativity when they look at the leaves; each one has a unique shape with unique patterns. Kids can also learn how powerful He is. God commanded the hills to appear and the skies to change each day. Kids can also learn that they are so valuable to God through spending time in nature. God took time to think about every leaf, every animal, every blade of grass, the clouds and the colorful skies but God also created each one of our kids. He knows all of them by name and knows every step they will take. Each child is uniquely and wonderfully made and they were made in the image of God.
As the summer gets closer, we want to invite you to send your children to our camps. Not only will they get all of the benefits of spending time in nature, they will get to know the Creator who loves and cherishes each child. They will get to build shelters, shoot paintball guns, fish, shoot bows & arrows, and so many other fun things while being reminded of the God who created them and created the nature setting they are getting to play in.
We can’t wait to see you this summer (only 39 days away) for some great times in God's creation!
